This piece predates his work for Norell and is from one of his earlier collections

The shoulder straps are topped by big oval metal plates that have hidden hooks under them and act as closures to the dress

The neck is high and the sleeves are cut quite wide with a pretty ruffled finish

A twisted bit of fabric at the neck gives it a Ceil Chapman-esque feel and the fit is cut to show off every curve
