The skirt is beautifully cut - the seams are actually cut on curves - its an almost spiral cut that wraps around the wearers hips for a bias cut

Rare 1920s Athenas Collegiate Sweater designer-balenciaga Tagged a 42I did not realize that this was from the 1920s till I found a similar one in The Met collection (click here to see). I think this one is even better it is absolutely for a female given the Athenas lettering and the hand embroidered Marlene over the one pocket. It completely captures that time period and you can imagine the young cheerleader that would have worn it as she cheered on her beau! It has that rare, extremely personal touch that you can find
