1950s Black Silk Taffeta & Velvet "Coffin Drape" Dress designer-hardy-amies Item# DD819I have seen this dress attributed to Suzy Perette but also have seen it attributed to more minor designers and since this one has no tag I cannot say for sure who the original designer was. It is certainly well made enough to be a Perette and is a lovely little dress regardless. Made of a beautiful grade, black silk taffeta for the skirt and a velvet at the top.
