Strong and wearable with the care and love it deserves to be shown - this is one of the best 1920s pieces I have ever seen and I would not be surprised to learn that it was a couture piece form one of the Paris houses at the time - it is of that high quality and the fabric would have been customs designed and made

The belt is original and is in good condition

it closes with a side painted metal zipper from the waist down and a hook & eye at the waist

This might be my favorite Jean Varon I have ever listed and I am still tempted to whisk it back to my archives for myself
