It seems to be something of a collectors reference book

and fit roughly a shoe size 10-12 US (roughly a typical German army sock size 2)

The button keeper is designed so you can wear the binoculars around your neck and button them to a tunic button when not in use so they don't flop around

so you can compare (the original is dated 1936

The case has the initials AW scratched in. The case is a little dented and shows wear and the contents have been used. Good reenactment grade kit.
