Black and White Sgraffito Carved Tumbler mugs then decorated with a yellowThis tumbler was thrown on the pottery wheel, then decorated with a black slip. When the piece was dry enough to handle, the design was carved by hand using the sgraffito technique revealing the contrasting clay underneath. It was then fired in the kiln at 2170F. The clay is a warm ivory colored ceramic stoneware, and is glazed with a glossy clear coat inside and out. H: 3. 25" W: 3. 5" D: 3. 5" This tumbler can hold up to 340ml 11. 5oz of liquid.
