Machine Shop meters built by BHP Collieries toA tool rack on the wall of the machine shop at Elrington Colliery, Abernethy. The shop sat within the main workshop building alongside the electrical workshop and compressor room, the whole space served by a 15 tonne overhead electric crane running its full length. BHP Collieries built this infrastructure to keep a mine designed for 3,000 tonnes a day running. Part of the Elrington Colliery series.
