sanded to 3000 grit and finished with walnut oil

A friend of mine had a dying Apricot tree in his yard and I was happy to remove it for the wood

The tree is scrubby and not too attractive but the wood is beautiful

Finished to 2000 grit with mineral oil and CA finish

There are many contributing causes for this
