Gilbert Pat Silver Pendants Extra Large mask who lived in Quatsino SoundGilbert Pat is a self taught jewelry carver from the Coast Salish cultural group. He began carving in 1976, after apprenticing with renowned artist Lloyd Wadhams. Prior to that, Gilbert worked as a fisherman and carpenter, making his own carving tools and honing the skills needed to create one of a kind pieces from silver and 14 karat gold.
