thankfully due to the sustained work by the RSPB over the years the population here on Islay is comparatively healthy with large flocks of several hundred feeding on the reserve throughout the autumn and winter months

I aim to recreate the beauty of what lies beneath the waves on Islay

after sketching I transfer the design onto Lino and carve it with a fine tool
