The bronze depicts a young woman with her hair up in a dynamic style, on a richly veined red marble base. The bronze is quite expressive and very well done; the woman has a charmingly uplifted expression, very skillfully rendered. This piece won Vidal the 1st Prize at the Paris Salon of 1892, and is stamped as such, near the base, next to the signature. This
