I thought it was a great reference for the layered interior paint finishes I was doing at the time

Its beginning is very dear to me

We did northern hemisphere air and sea creatures on one side and southern on the other

I grew up in the east coast preppy fashion era of the late 70s and 80s

I was the interior designer for a custom built Catamaran. We ended up painting all of the hatch covers as individual art pieces. My suggestion was to make them look like the inlaid bone furniture that comes from Rajasthan, India. We also painted a mural covering the entire floor of the salon including a compass rose
