Transitional Oushak Rug tan Size: 315 x 78 cmThe Oushak weaving tradition originated in the town of Uak in western Turkey in the 15th century, known for its soft, muted palette and elegant large scale designs. Afghan weavers adopted those techniques and made them their own, tightening the knot structure in the process, which gives this rug greater detail and durability than its Turkish counterpart. This rug is hand knotted in Afghanistan from 100% hand spun wool, pile and foundation both. The
