This stand is intricately carved from top to bottom. The upper section has a leaf carved on the top. The center section is a winding snake. The piece is in good condition. It does have wood separation on the top section (see the pictures for details) but it does nothing to hurt the integrity or stability. The plant stand is 20" tall and 12" in diameter. So there are no surprises for you
