Cottage Size:M graffiti covers the concrete wallsA timber cottage sits at the edge of the overgrown grounds of the Queen Victoria Sanitorium, its weathered walls and collapsing roof marking decades of disuse since the facility closed in May 1999. The sanitorium operated for 96 years on Kings Tableland, first as a tuberculosis sanatorium from 1903, later as a hospital for the aged and chronically ill.
