Moss Carpet timber introduced in 1972 using 200/250A classroom floor at Family School Fureai, Yubari, covered wall to wall in dense green moss. The building opened as Asahi Elementary School in 1975, closed after just eight years as Yubari's mining population collapsed, then operated as group lodging under Yubari Kanko Kaihatsu Co., Ltd. from around 1994 until 2006.
