Timber Corridor patio listed on the NSW StateDamask wallpaper clings to the stairwell walls at 409 Gardeners Road, its pattern still legible beneath layers of grime, while a broken handrail pulls away from the wall and split floorboards mark the landing. These twin stairs once carried audiences to the dress circle of the Marina Picture Palace, which opened on 28 May 1927 and screened its last film on 8 February 1984.
