NOTE: If you currently have a type k solid metal or sheathed thermocouple, this is Skutt's most reliable and newer style replacement. However, it may require slight kiln modification, drilling slightly larger 1 2" hole through the kiln brick to install. Not to be confused with the Skutt Type S thermocouple
