This piece is the most challenging hollow form I have turned thus far due to the large number of voids in the wall of the vessel combined with the burl having grown around 4 different large rocks that I had to dig out and remove from the interior of the piece during the hollowing process

I titled this piece La Renaissance du Bison due to the fleur de lis patterns associated with the French Renaissance period. It literally translates as Rebirth of the Bison.
