The edge of the dish is beautifully hand gilded and decorated with iron red designs. The center depicts a colorful scene of men around a table outside, reading or going over papers of some kind. The dish is in good overall condition. As the photo points out, there has been a repair and repaint to one edge, with a crack extending into the body.
