This was specifically used to crush Opium, mix it with water and make Opium tea. These Opium teas were served in Rajasthan during rituals and ceremonies, mainly to forge a bond. This beautiful hand carved Kharal is made of wood with intricate pattern all over it. It also has a snake like projection which is used to drink the tea from. This
