The ladle has two hallmarks on the underside of the bowl. I believe this piece is German, but the hallmarks are not very clear and I cannot guarantee the country of origin. It is certainly continental European. The long zigzag mark is the assay test. This piece was probably made in the mid to late 1700s but could certainly be from the early 1800s. The interior
