In 1791 he decided to take some of his profits and start his own distillery. Thus, Johns Lane Distillery at Thomas Street was born. The company grew and was very successful, so as soon as he was of age, his son John joined the family business, thus John Power and Son became the official name. They innovated and expanded greatly on
