It was founded in 1798 on the southern coast of Islay, five minutes away from Lagavulin. It closed down in 1981, was brought back by Glenmorangie in 1997, and bought by LVHM in 2004. Ardbeg uses only two pot stills yet produces over a million liters each year. Their Scotch was even sent to the ISS in 2011 to see how it interacts with wood in space. We
