Fordite is very lightweight

I cut and polished this set of Michigan petoskey stones in domed rounds and set them in solid fine and sterling silver

I antiqued the silver (intentionally darkened) to bring out the patterns in the base of the bezel that holds the stone and the other elements that I added to it then polished it

The fordite stone measures about 43 x 19 in mm and is a thin cut at about 4

I handcrafted the solid sterling silver ring entirely from recycled sterling silver that I hand forged and formed
