Aussie66 The inside was quite smoothAussie66 The shell is an original WW2, Australian manufactured MkII shell with a raw edge. I have purchased a couple of Australian helmet batches from this one dealer; all of these helmets would have been intact and in good condition when stored but poor storage over the decades has wrecked them. The original brass chinstrap lugs are marked Mk III 1942. No steel lot number was found under the flare. When acquired, very little original paint existed.
