Dunstanburgh- Morning Reflections genealogy this pair of puffins sharedDunstanburgh Castle is one of Northumberland's most iconic sights and a favourite subject for artists and photographers alike. Set on a dramatic headland, the castle ruins rise above the sea like a broken crown. It was painted in various moods by JMW Turner on his first visit to Northumberland in 1797 and on subsequent visits up until 1834. This is one of my favourite places along the Northumbrian coast. We go there all year round and Ive painted it
