Katsina by Earl Dino' Patterson Jr. - 'Butterfly Maiden' Paintings Red Wolf is a CherokeeEarl Dino Patterson Jr., also known as Sundaweuma, is a distinguished Hopi and Navajo carver from Hotevilla, Third Mesa, in northeastern Arizona. His heritage includes the Roadrunner and Greasewood clans of the Hopi tribe. Dino was introduced to carving by his brother and brother in law and has been creating Hopi Katsina dolls for over 30 years. This Butterfly Maiden is a wood carving created from Cottonwood root and symbolizes a blessing to all
