As darkness faded to light I was in amazement of the scene that revealed itself. A high alpine lake sits nestled among the wildflowers as Ulysses S Grant Peak (13,714 ft) guards over this pristine sanctuary. It rained for 3 days with only limited opportunities to get out and hike around so this morning was welcomed as the clearing storm lit the sky on fire as
