Red Glass with Gold Set sets made carefully from the extractsMatrigold colored Glass and Gold Jewels are made with a similar technique as developed for the golden tiles on the Matrimandir. Pure gold leafs (24 karat) are placed on and between glass layers and fused. Once cooled, the fused tiles are cut by the artist Birgitta Volz, recombined and heated again to create the final shape.
