however usually by Memorial Day Weekend it is open again connecting Estes Park with Grand Lake

This is where I noticed the beach and water coming together and also leaving a reminder of the prior wave coming onto the beach during low tide

Noticing that the wind was blowing out of the south I found myself south of airport to photograph takeoffs

I fought the urge to sleep in and woke up in time to capture the first sunrise over Denver

and as I made my way out on the golf course I looked for fresh snow and trees to photograph

Building Reflection in the Snow Size:16"x20" however usually by Memorial DayA spring storm dropped some snow along the Front Range of Colorado. With the warm temperatures the few days before this the accumulated snow did not amount to much but even so I grabbed my camera and headed out into the city. Walking near the Denver Art Museum I noticed the reflection of a building with the snow still on the granite bench for this image.
