Using a 75:25 mixture of Shellac & Aniline Thinners and Acetone can help to dissolve the solution in to nitrocellulose lacquer

and then stir occasionally over the course of 10-15 minutes to ensure all powder is dissolved

Suitable for use in solvent and water based lacquers and paints including nitrocellulose, polyurethane and emulsion. Apply over solid colour paint for best results. Experiment with different colour bases and flakes to make your own bespoke effects.
