In late summer 2009 I took part in a Team in Training event which included a final hike in Rocky Mountain National Park

With the sun almost set I made my way to the building and with a long lens looked up to capture the lines and patterns with some remaining sunlight

By positioning my camera so there were angles in the photo instead of straight on provided a stronger image to me

the tree with the lamp post positioned in a location in which it connects with the tree being a part of the scene

East High School Facade Size:20"x30" In late summer 2009 IAs I was driving on 16th Avenue, I looked ahead and noticed Denver East High School in the distance. This drew my eye and at first I was thinking the clocktower would be the subject an image I would capture, however as I started to photograph the facade of the building the detail here is what I focused on instead. While East High School opened in 1875 and was the first high school in Denver, the current location was not built until 1924 as noted at
